Parkersburg shook off a slow start to defeat host Hurricane 69-58 in a girls high school basketball game on Thursday.
Imani Ward exploded for 32 points for Parkersburg (3-2), while Megan Morrison chipped in 16 points.
Abby Watson led the Redskins (1-2) with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Callie McClanahan contributed 15 points for Hurricane, while Taneisha Sturdivant grabbed a team-high 14 boards.
CHAPMANVILLE 49, POCA 24: The host Tigers held a 14-0 advantage after the first quarter and rolled to a win. Kaitlin Hall scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds for Chapmanville (4-1). Hannah Bailey had nine points to lead the Dots.
PRINCETON 64, NITRO 41: Princeton outscored Nitro 35-17 in the final two quarters to secure a road win. McKenzie Akers poured in 25 points for the Tigers (2-0), while Marissa Mullins chipped in 22. For the Wildcats (3-2), Savannah Shamblin scored 13 points and Kelli Douglas had 10.
ST. ALBANS 29, WOODROW 24: Breanna Propst had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. Albans (2-2) to a win. Kavita Francois led Woodrow Wilson (1-3) with five points.
LOGAN 56, HUNTINGTON 55: Kyra Cline nailed one of her eight 3-pointers with a few seconds left and Huntington couldn't convert on the other end as the Wildcats picked up a road win.
Cline had a game-high 25 points, while Monica Mitchell pitched in with 12 points and 13 rebounds for Logan (2-2). Kiana Evans tallied 24 points for the Highlanders (5-1).
SCOTT 50, MINGO 43: Jaimee Dotson scored 15 points as host Scott picked up a win. Ali Whitman had 13 points for the Skyhawks (3-1). Mingo Central (1-3) was led by Kiearia Hammond with 10 points.
