Wednesday's game

  • SCOTT 50, SISSONVILLE 49: Logan Webb made 1 of 2 free throws with 1.8 seconds left in overtime, allowing the unbeaten host Skyhawks (6-0) to escape with the win. Sissonville's Zach Null hit the front of the rim with a three-quarter-court shot at the final buzzer.
  • Matt Dolan led Scott with 22 points. For the Indians (1-3), Trent Stowers had 15 points and Ryan Kelly 10.

    Girls baskeball

  • POCA 42, MINGO CENTRAL 36: Madi McGrew had 18 points and 12 rebounds as Poca secured a win over Mingo Central. McKenzie Ball also contributed 12 points for the Dots (2-5). Ashley Curry had a team-high 14 points for the Miners (2-4).
  • SUMMERS 76, WYOMING 48: Summers County outscored Wyoming East 43-25 in the final two quarters as the Bobcats earned a home win.
  • Avery Pivont scored a game-high 19 points for Summers (5-1), while Tyra Wynes and Brandy Morrison each added 12. Bre Pertee scored 14 points for Wyoming East (5-2).

  • HOOVER 59, SHERMAN 46: Herbert Hoover (5-1) had 10 different players score, including a team-high 10 points from Caroline Thornburg, in its road win at Sherman.
  • Sarah Massey scored a game-high 15 points for Sherman (3-3) while Jordan Lewis added 11.

  • MIDLAND TRAIL 42, MONTCALM 18: Kennedy Cochran scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Midland Trail (1-3) to its first win of the season.
  • For Montcalm, Brenna Tyree led the Generals with six points.

    Wednesday's games

  • SPRING VALLEY 71, WOODROW 47: Makenzie Morris netted 20 points as Spring Valley picked up a win.
  • Madison Morris and Sarah Kelly added 13 apiece, while Brooke Heck scored 12 to lead the Timberwolves (4-2).

    Ty Hairston led Woodrow Wilson (1-6) with 12 points and Kavita Francois had 11 points.

  • RITCHIE 60, RAVENS-WOOD 57: Senior Tristin Toman poured in 33 points for host Ritchie County. Hailey Miller paced Ravenswood with 18 points, while Hannah Murray added 13.
