Prep roundup: Sirianni leads Nitro past St. Albans 61-50

Angeloa Sirianni poured in 21 points to lead Nitro to a 61-50 boys basketball win over visiting St. Albans Thursday night.

Jonathon Mawyer chipped in 13 points for the Wildcats (3-3). Nathan McNeil netted a team-high 17 points for the Red Dragons (1-5).

  • BUFFALO 67, WILLIAMSTOWN 42: Buffalo remained undefeated with its win in the Wirt County Invitational.
  • The Bison (6-0) were led by 15 points from Isaiah Robertson, 13 from Levi Jordan, 11 by Laythen Good and 10 by Dylan Rich. Gage Wix finished with 13 points for Williamstown.

    Buffalo will play Roane County at 7:30 tonight while Williamstown takes on Wirt County at 6.

  • WYOMING EAST 92, POINT PLEASANT 40: Wyoming East scored 30 points in the first quarter and cruised to a win against Point Pleasant in the Family Healthcare Classic, hosted by Warriors.
  • Brett Bowling scored 21 points to lead Wyoming East (3-1), with Josh Tunstalle (15) and Tyler Lester (11) also hitting double digits in scoring.

    Dillon McCarty finished with 14 points to lead the Big Blacks, who will play Westside at 6 tonight. Wyoming East will take on East Fairmont at 8.

  • RIPLEY 69, LEWIS 64: Ripley outscored Lewis County 27-16 in the final quarter as the Vikings earned a home win.
  • Kade Harrison exploded for 28 points for Ripley while Casey Smith added 20. John Riley tallied 21 points and Skylar Carlton netted 16 for Lewis County.

  • ELKINS 52, OAK HILL 50: L.J. Lawrence scored a game-high 17 points to lead Elkins to the win at the Lewis County Holiday Tournament.
  • Logan Phillips finished with 15 points and Colby Gainer had 13 points for the Tigers (6-0). Kyalo Bradford led Oak Hill (2-2) with 12 points.

  • NICHOLAS 77, RIVER VIEW 53: Jared Tharp scored 19 points and Eric Peyatt added 15 for host Nicholas County. Also for the Grizzlies (2-2), Zach Tolley scored 12 and Cody McClung 10. For the Raiders (0-5), Jimmy Baker scored 14 points and Taylor DeHaven and Tyree Baker each added 11.
  • SCOTT 60, PIKE COUNTY 58: Logan Webb made one of two free throws with two seconds left to help Scott secure a win over Pike Country Central (Ky.) at the Belfry Schoolboy Classic in Belfry, Ky.
