Girls roundup: GW's early lead holds up in win over Hurricane

Karli Pinkerton netted 18 for the Indians (9-3).

  • MIDLAND 47, RICHWOOD 43: Emily Carte tallied 11 points as Midland Trail bested Richwood in overtime. Jesika Cooper and Hannah Legg each contributed 10 points for Midland Trail (3-8).
  • Breanne Mazzelle had 11 points for Richwood.

  • WESTSIDE 58, PIKEVIEW 26: Hope Lester had 15 points and Danielle Brown scored 13 to lead undefeated Westside to a win at PikeView.
  • Morgan Spolarich also hit double figures in scoring for the Renegades (12-0) with 11 points.

    For PikeView (5-6), Lyndsey Hatield and Courtney White each scored six points.

  • PARKERSBURG 52, WINFIELD 36: Imani Ward netted 19 points and Kennedy Walker chipped in 14 as Parkersburg (8-6) earned a road win over Winfield.
  • Haylea Roberson and Marla Rhoades scored 12 points apiece for the Generals (7-5).

  • TEAYS VALLEY 52, PARK. CHRISTIAN 26: Gabby Harrah tallied a game-high 18 points for host Teays Valley Christian. Angel Damh had 11 for Parkersburg Christian.

  • CHAPMANVILLE 62, TUG 62: Kristin Desrocher netted 23 points as Chapmanville secured a home win. Kaitlyn Hall also contributed 21 points for the Tigers (6-6). Whitney Evans-Kirk had a game-high 25 points for Tug Valley (8-2) while Hannah Armstrong had 22.
  • RAVENSWOOD 56, PARK. CATHOLIC 53: Ravenswood used a 22-9 fourth-quarter run to stun Class A No. 4 Parkersburg Catholic. Taylor Youell posted 21 points for the Red Devils, including four 3-pointers, while Hailey Miller tallied 16 points. Alex Schaffer poured in 22 for Parkersburg Catholic (8-5).
