Five games today in Civic Center 'Shootout'

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A showdown between West Virginia's top two teams in Class A is part of today's "Shootout at the Big House,'' a five-game boys basketball event at the Charleston Civic Center.

The middle game of the card, a 4:30 p.m. tipoff, pits No. 1 Tug Valley (15-3) against No. 2 Charleston Catholic (15-2).

The showcase starts at noon with Lincoln County versus Elkins, followed by Sissonville against Liberty Raleigh at 2:45 p.m., Tug and Catholic, Class AAA No. 5 Parkersburg South against No. 10 George Washington at 6:15 and Winfield versus Logan at 8.

Tickets are priced at $6 and include admission to all games.
