Prep roundup: South Charleston girls edge Capital 56-50

Alliyah Webb scored 16 points and Lina Villanueva and Aryuanna Mosley each finished with 13 to lead South Charleston to a 56-50 girls basketball win Thursday over visiting Capital.

Mosley also grabbed 15 rebounds for the Black Eagles (11-11). For Capital (8-12), Keke Walker had 15 points and Dashia Foster scored 13.

  • GREEN. EAST 80, MUSSELMAN 45: Bianca Andre' led Greenbrier East (20-0) with 17 points and Chloe Honaker finished with 12. For visiting Musselman (7-13), Kyra Burnette was the leading scorer with 12 points.
  • TOLSIA 54, POCA 42: Jordan Presley poured in 19 points as Tolsia won at home. Savannah Winnett chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Rebels (19-3). Poca (4-18) was led by Harley Hutchins with 12 points.
  • HURRICANE 60, LINCOLN COUNTY 55: Hurricane (6-15) won on the road behind 24 points from Abby Watson and 14 from Audrey Barber. For the Panthers (5-16), Lindsey Prichard scored 14 points.
  • NITRO 54, RIPLEY 42: Savannah Shamblin netted 14 points as Nitro picked up a home victory over winless Ripley. Halie Miller added 12 points for the Wildcats (11-11) and Melissa Belcher had 11. Pacing the Vikings (0-15) were Chelsey Hager with 14 points and Sarah Williams with 12.
  • ST. ALBANS 33, WOODROW 23: Torri Wilson led all scorers with 15 points and Breanna Propst chipped in with 10 to help St. Albans (12-10) beat visiting Woodrow Wilson. Summer Butler led the Flying Eagles (10-12) with seven points.
  • PIKEVIEW 64, JAMES MONROE 46: Hope Nester dropped in 21 points while Madison May and Courtney White each finished with 10 for PikeView (11-10). For visiting James Monroe (11-8), Emily McKinney was the leading scorer with 14 points.
  • TUG VALLEY 73, SHERMAN 41: Hannah Armstrong produced 21 points as Tug Valley cruised to a win at home. Adreana Vance added 14 points for the Panthers. Jordan Lewis led Sherman with 18 points.
  • WINFIELD 48, RIVERSIDE 44: Haeley Moore had 11 points and Mara Rhoades scored 10 as the host Generals (11-11) held on for a win. Brittany Wood scored a game-high 17 points for the Warriors and Kara Knapp added 12.

  • LOGAN 63, TOLSIA 52: A.J. Reynolds scored 24 points and Zak Miller had 16 points as Logan (7-11) upset visiting Tolsia (13-7). For the Rebels, Braden Clark scored 16 points.
  • CROSS LANES 58, BALLARD 56: Anthony Mahairas hit a 12-foot jump shot as time expired in overtime to give Cross Lanes Christian a win in the West Virginia Christian Athletic Tournament in Summersville. Mahairas had 15 points for Cross Lanes (17-9), as did Grant Humphrey. Tyler Corbin chipped in a team-high 18 points. For Ballard Christian, Josh Deskins poured in a game-high 26 points and Greg Spencer 16.
