Noah Frampton went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs as Poca secured a 15-3 high school baseball win over visiting Sissonville Monday.
The game was stopped after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Cam Cottrill added three hits and drove home two runs for the Dots (11-4) while Jake Payne smacked a home run and had four RBIs. Zach Null went 2 for 3 for the Indians.
WINFIELD 11, HUNTINGTON 10: Huntington scored three runs in the top of the seventh but it wasn't enough as Winfield escaped with a home win. Brandon Wright went 3 for 3 with a triple for the Generals (8-10) while Josh Bumgarner, Bear Bellomy and Derek Whiteside each had two hits. Joey Mundy went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for the Highlanders.
HURRICANE 24, LINCOLN COUNTY 0: Zach Pate tripled and drove in four runs and Tate Brock added two hits and three RBIs as the host Redskins rolled to a five-inning win over Lincoln County. Tyson Edwards, J.T. Rogoszewski and Austin Hensley each doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Hurricane (14-3).
SC 9, SCOTT 3: Austin Santrock went 2 for 3 with two doubles and three RBIs as South Charleston earned a road win. Jonathan Cline and Antonio Brown hit home runs for the Black Eagles. Forrest Spurlock blasted two homers and drove in three runs for the Skyhawks (10-7).
GW 11, WOODROW 6: George Washington scored a total of eight runs in the first two innings as the Patriots rolled to a home win.
Clayton Anderson went 4 for 4 with a pair of RBIs for GW (12-6) while John Thomas had three hits. Logan Wriston batted 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for Woodrow Wilson (8-6) and Hunter Greco added two hits, including a double.
VALLEY 9, SUMMERS 8: Mark Hess went 3 for 3 with an RBI as Valley edged visiting Summers County. Drew Jones, Arik McGinnis and Raeshawn Brackenridge each had two hits for the Greyhounds (12-5). Jaquan Ayers went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for the Bobcats.
NITRO 13, RIPLEY 3: Ryan McDonough went 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs as the host Wildcats downed the Vikings in five innings. Dylan Slack pounded out three hits and drove in three runs for Nitro (10-4), which fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first then plated four runs in the bottom.
SA 6, PARKERSBURG 0: Austin Harless scattered four hits and struck out eight as St. Albans recorded a shutout win over visiting Parkersburg. Bobby Grishaver went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for the Red Dragons (12-4) while Phoenix Shrewsbury and Dustin Turley added two hits each. Lucas Goodwin and Caleb Thrash had a hit apiece for the Big Reds.
HOOVER 18, CHAPMANVILLE 1: Herbert Hoover scored 16 runs over the fifth and sixth inning to earn a mercy-rule win on the road. Corey Bird had three hits and an RBI while Tristan Fields and Sean Craze each doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs. Hunter White had two hits and three RBIs and Austin Thomas drove in four runs and had two hits for the Huskies (14-0). Brock Dalton, William Copley, and Tristan Thompson each went 2 for 3 for Chapmanville.
MIDLAND 7, LOGAN 2: Seth Kinker went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs as Cabell Midland posted a road win. Brighton Jobe added a double and drove home a pair of runs for the Knights (8-9). Zach Minnick and Troy Burgess had three hits apiece for the Wildcats (9-4).
WAHAMA 11, BELPRE 4: Hunter Bradley exploded for a pair of triples and six RBIs as Wahama downed visiting Belpre, Ohio. Wesley Harrison and Kane Roush also had two hits each for the White Falcons (7-4). Dakota McDaniel went 2 for 3 for Belpre (2-7).
GILMER 8, CLAY 6: Austin Cunningham had two hits and two RBIs as Gilmer County erased a 6-0 deficit and picked up a road win. Colton Rose and Nathan Allison each drove in a pair of runs for the Titans (17-0). Dalton Holcomb went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Alex Burkhamer had two hits and three runs to lead the Panthers (8-8).
