NEW YORK - With just over two minutes to play Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden, No. 6 West Virginia's 79-60 win over St. John's was ready to be put into the books. PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Liz Repella scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help No. 11 West Virginia beat Providence 75-59 on Saturday.

MORGANTOWN - It was not all that long ago that West Virginia would send out onto the basketball court pretty good teams that played the game rather politely. MORGANTOWN - All things considered, Bill Stewart was on top of the world by midday Wednesday. The West Virginia recruiting class that he had just signed put to rest pretty much any notion that events of the past few months - de-commitments and coaching changes, specifically - would seriously affect the class he was able to sign.
