To start with name a freaking coach in NCAA today or in our life time that has had success at VMI. Maybe Bobby Ross and I dont think he even broke .500. To use VMI as a way to measure Coach Stew ability to coach a team such as West Virginia is unfair, geez when Bobby Ross took over at Maryland prior going to Georgia Tech, did those fans say he faled at VMI how can we expect anything better from Bobby at Maryland or Georgia Tech.
Is our defense up to par this year, doesnt look promising, but it doesnt mean it wont improve, we traditionally have gotten off to a slow start and ended up better, this defense is designed when our off is up two or three td's and our guys pin those ears back and run all kinds of stunts on the opponenets, its not designed to keep us in those close battles, maybe we should consider a multiple defensive scheme, a more basic d-fensive scheme until the offense opens up a 2 to 3 td lead then put in that 3-3-5 stack and run those confusing stunts on the opponenets.

I saw one player tackle with conviction. Morty! Everyone else was leaning into the runner. The DBs looked as if they were afraid to lay some smack down. It reminded me of a bad high school game. Large open areas for ECU recievers to roam in, DBs not breaking to the ball. Come on DBs, you used to be WRs. It's your turn to deliver some blows that usually were delivered on you. It sure would be nice to have a lead blocker. Schmitty, where are you when we need you? I think the rope is slipping. I hope we can tighten it soon. We have a tough few weeks ahead of us.

Come on Mountaineers from miget league to the NFL you're taught to tackle the legs and not up around the shoulder pads. Miss tackles killed you and you're a better ball club than that. All you can do is learn from the mistakes and try not to have a repeat. I'm still loyal to the blue and gold, so lets get it together and win. Offensive line to be experience lets open some holes, so Devine can get down the field. Stewart, if Devine can't run up the middle get him to the outside. Pat, you've got an arm pass; line give him the time. Deffense, you've got to buckle down and tackle alot better. Put the pressure on these QB's and let them make the mistakes. Good Luck WVU

We need to relax & wait & see what happens in the next couple of games. Stewart will need a little bit of time to get the players use to the new system. The main problem I see is our offensive line. I thought that they were supposed to be # 1 in the country???? Learn how to pass protect & we'll be ok on offense. Until then it will be a very long season. GIVE STEWART & THE REST OF THE STAFF A CHANCE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!!
