Big East denies expansion report
Advertiser

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Big East officials are denying a report from an Orlando, Fla., television station that the league will issue invitations to Central Florida and Memphis as early as next week.

The station cited multiple college football sources. The Big East's John Paquette, however, said his office is "officially denying the Orlando report.''

WKMG in Orlando aired the report. The scenario was the Big East would become a 10-team football league and an 18-team basketball giant.
