Crook officially named Mountaineer assistant

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Parkersburg native Ron Crook has officially joined the West Virginia University football staff as the offensive line coach, head coach Dana Holgorsen announced Monday.

Crook comes to Morgantown with 24 years of college coaching experience, including the past two seasons as the tight ends and offensive tackles coach at Stanford. Before that, Crook spent eight seasons as offensive line coach at Harvard.

He also served as the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator at his alma mater, West Liberty State, helping the Hilltoppers to the 2000 West Virginia Conference title. Crook was also part of coaching staffs at West Virginia Tech and Glenville State.
