Sebelius visits Ill. for Quinn fundraiser
CHICAGO (AP) - Gov. Pat Quinn is revving up his fundraising machine and getting some help from the Obama administration after a recent poll showed him trailing his Republican opponent.
U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (seh-BEEL'-yuhs) attended a morning fundraiser for Quinn at a downtown Chicago restaurant on Tuesday.
The event was closed to the media, but Quinn's campaign says as many as 100 people were expected to attend.
A Chicago Tribune/WGN-TV poll showed Quinn trailing state Sen. Bill Brady of Bloomington, 37 percent to 32 percent. The poll's error margin was 4 percentage points.
Sebelius says Quinn has been a great partner and she wants him to win in November. She says she hopes Illinois voters give Quinn a shot.
