Country singers Church, Yoakam coming to Charleston

By Staff reports

Country sensation Eric Church, along with country star Dwight Yoakam and newcomers Brothers Osborne, are coming to the Charleston Civic Center, September 26.

The show is part of "The Outsiders World Tour" announced Thursday on all three of the artists' websites.

Church, an award-winning singer, has become one of the most popular performers in country music with numerous hits, including, "Love Your Love The Most," "Drink in My Hand" and "Springsteen." His latest record, "The Outsiders," was released in February and already has achieved gold status.

Yoakam is a Grammy-winning performer with a slew of hits over three decades, among them "Ain't That Lonely Yet," "Little Things" and "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere." He has also had a successful career in television and film, including roles in "Panic Room," "Bandidas" and "Sling Blade."

Brothers Osborne is a young country act. The duo released their first single, "Let's Go There," last fall. The follow-up single, "Rum," is currently on the country charts and their debut record is expected later this year.

Tickets for the show are not on sale yet. Prices or sale dates have not been announced and the Civic Center would not confirm the show had been booked.
