Coonskin hike

Charleston Montessori School will sponsor the next Life’s a Hike community hike at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the Alice Knight Trail at Coonskin Park. The trail has some steep sections; hiking boots are recommended. There is a waterfall along the trail. Regenerate West Virginia Political Action Committee will sponsor a meet-the-candidates event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on the third floor of the YWCA, 1114 Quarrier St. Meet House of Delegates candidates from the 35th and 37th districts. Capitol Woman’s Club

The Capitol Woman’s Club will meet Tuesday with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m. at the Woman’s Club of Charleston Clubhouse, Virginia Street East. April is Conservation Month; the program will be on everyday products made from recycled items.
