“An honest man speaks the truth, though it may give offence; a vain man, in order that it may.” — William Hazlitt, essayist (1778-1830)
When parents were in charge of disciplining the children, you didn’t see the horror stories you see on television just about every day anymore. The courts took over, and all you see are young people out of control. In fact, I personally think it would be a good idea, anytime there is a divorce, when it comes to the children, there should be court-ordered parent class for parents to understand the children’s feelings and how hard it is on them. Children aren’t to be used as weapons against the parents. Certainly they can get along.
With all of the bonuses that Holgorsen gets this year through his contract, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a bonus for winning the Blue and Gold game. This guy gets paid way too much money and doesn’t deliver. He only won four games last year and got a $300,000 retention? Come on, Ollie.
I want to thank all of the gentlemen who filled in the holes on Campbells Creek. Good job, guys. May God bless you all.
Please, people. Let’s treat our children right and teach them better. And then, I might add, that I think this is the third time that Carrie Webster’s been in trouble. Last time they blamed it on somebody else.
Our Supreme Court has become so blinded with what they think is political correctness that they are gradually taking away our Christian rights. Why should only a few men and women determine the direction, future and fate of this nation? When you think about it, that’s crazy. I think that major issues like abortion, gay rights and religious rights should be voted upon by everyone in this nation. Our government is supposed to be by the people and for the people.
You know that prejudice is a nasty, nasty thing. I don’t have a chance. I can’t get anything. Because of prejudice.
I can remember the days when I got really excited about WVU spring football. The practices, how players were competing, who would be the starting quarterback or the starting running back and the Blue and Gold game. Today, there is no excitement, not even in the newspaper. The coaches and hierarchy are even taking away our Blue and Gold colors.
Traditional Christians, save your money if you think that the movie “Noah” follows the Bible’s account of the flood. They never call God by the name of God but mention him as “the creator.” Nowhere in Genesis does it mention rock people helping Noah. Plus, the movie director is an atheist.
Why don’t Danny Jones and Gov. Tomblin kiss and make up so that the roads in Kanawha City can get repaired? Somebody is going to lose a car in one.
Anyone who owns a dog and lets it run loose in the neighborhood certainly has no respect whatsoever for their neighbors. And your neighbors have no respect for you either.
Oliver Luck, please do not let Bob Huggins sit up there and take this basketball program to the bottom the way Gale Catlett was permitted to do. Huggins’ early success was due to John Beilein’s building program. It is obvious he cannot recruit.
