Beatrice Stiefel

Beatrice Davis Stiefel, 98, of St. Albans, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Golden Living Riverside, St. Albans.

Born March 14, 1916 in Crossville, Alabama, Beatrice "Aunt Bee" was a daughter of the late Alonso Spencer Davis of Chattanooga, Tenn. and mother, Lula Pack of Crossville, Ala. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Daum of Chattanooga, Tenn; and her last husband, Virgil Stiefel of Bushnell, Fla.; sisters, Ruby Grace James of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Lucille Shiltz of Dunbar; and brother, Buel Davis of Leesburg, Ala.

Aunt Bee came in 2007 to live with her nephew, Charles Young and his wife, Carol of St. Albans. She attended Vineyard Christian Fellowship as long as she was able. She made many friends in WV.

In addition to her nephew Charles, she is survived by her brother, Jack Wisdom of Birmingham, Ala.; niece, Joy (Aubrey) Harper of Chattanooga, Tenn.; other nephew, Earl (Peggy) James of Marietta, Ga.; great nieces, Karen (Dwayne) Durham of Chattanooga, Tenn., Christina (C.J.) Whiteaker of Owens Crossroad, Ala.; great nephews, Chuck (Lori) Young, Chris (Amy) Young, Christopher Young II all of St. Albans, Ed James of Dallas, Texas, Lee (Mindy) Harper of Altamont, Tenn., Dirk (Jenny) Harper of McMinnville, Tenn., Nathan (Ashley) Harper of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with the Rev. Jarrold Lanham and Pastor Chuck Reber officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Aunt Bee's family wishes to thank Golden Living Riverside and Hospice for making her last year as pleasant as possible. A special thank you to Debbie Barthlow and Jarrold Lanham for faithfully visiting her and being her good friends. Blessings and thank you also to Martha and Robert Meeks for remember her with many cards and gifts.
