Eleanor Cochran Morris Ramsey, passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014, peacefully of natural causes at the age of 90. Eleanor was born in Fayette County, Pa. to Thurman and Iva Cochran. She was raised in Webster County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hillard and Pete; husband, Shirley Ramsey; and son, Larry "Eddie" Morris.
She graduated at sixteen and went on to Community College. She worked at the Webster County Courthouse. Then during World War II she went to New Jersey to work in a light bulb factory while the men went overseas to war. She later worked at Raines Lincoln Mercury as a secretary until her retirement. Eleanor was a wonderful, sweet loving mother and was loved by all that knew her. She kept her sense of humor to the end, always making others smile.
She is survived by her sister, Louise Wellborn; brother, Harold Cochran and wife, Kay; son, Terry Morris "her Favorite" and his wife, Pam of Santa Fe, Texas; daughter, Connie Brooks of St. Albans and her fiancée, James Milam, who helped care for her. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Jarrell and husband, Scott, Jason Morris, Jennifer Austin and husband, Steve, Jesse Brooks, Jonathan Morris and Justin Morris and fiancée, Julia. Eleanor is also survived by her great grandchildren, Laci, Cade, Jordan, Christian, Lillie and Sophia.

At Mom's request she will be cremated and the family will have a private memorial service.
