Barlow Drive closed Thursday and Friday for repairs
Barlow Drive in Charleston will be closed to traffic Thursday and Friday in order to do much-needed repairs, said Charleston Assistant Mayor Rod Blackstone.
Roadwork will be going on from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and only emergency vehicles will be permitted to use the road. Other vehicles should use Keystone Drive from Greenbrier Street.
Blackstone said the construction has nothing to do with site cleanup at Freedom Industries, where a coal-processing chemical leaked into the Elk River in January.
