St. Albans drug bust sends three to jail
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. — Three people were in jail Friday following a Thursday-night drug bust in St. Albans.
Capt. James Agee of the St. Albans Police Department said police raided a home in the 2200 block of Grant Avenue Thursday evening following a month-long drug investigation. Agee said neighbors had been complaining about alleged drug activity at the home.
Timothy D. Basham, 49, of St. Albans; Shawn A. Harmon, 28, of Poca; and Jessica L. Harmon, 36, of St. Albans, were arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance, Agee said. He said he believed Jessica Harmon and Shawn Harmon are related.
Police believe Shawn Harmon provided Opana pills to Basham and Jessica Harmon to sell out of the house, Agee said.
He said there were seven other people living at the house at the time of the raid. No other residents were arrested, though Agee said charges will be brought later against two of the residents who were illegally living in a garage behind the main house.
All three of those arrested were in the South Central Regional Jail on Friday. Bail for Basham was set at $25,000, bail for Jessica Harmon was set at $10,000 and bail for Shawn Harmon was set at $2,000.
