‘RFC’ features StychNTyme

This week’s “RFC MINI SHOW” on the PopCult blog ( digs into the vault to bring you footage of StychNTyme that was recorded last year at the ECMC Kick Cancer for Kids benefit show at the Charleston Eagles Club.

The veteran Charleston metal band called it quits with a farewell concert last weekend at The Monkey Barrel.

This mini-show consists of video footage that was shelved because of a lineup change shortly before the recording date. RFC producer Rudy Panucci intended to capture the band again once its lineup stabilized, but that didn’t happen. In fact, the final concert featured guests Lee Harrah and Johnny Compton filling in on vocals and guitar.

Rather than let this footage go to waste, though, Panucci decided to present two songs to mark the passing of one of the area’s top metal bands.

Also on PopCult this week, Panucci has posted in-depth coverage of MEGO Meet, an international toy convention held last week in Wheeling.
