Annual biker bash kicks off Thursday
The Capitol City Biker Bash roars onto Kanawha Boulevard starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. This third annual free event, which runs through Saturday, features a bike show, various motorcycle rides and the West Virginia State Cornhole Tournament. There are also bike games at 4 p.m. Saturday, including ring pick-up, bucket toss and weenie bite, as well as nightly concerts at Haddad Riverfront Park. Kicking off the concerts are local metal quartet Relative Obscurity at 6:30 p.m. and national hard rock band Saliva at 9 p.m. on Thursday. Then for Friday’s Live on the Levee, it’s Charleston rockers The Cat Daddys at 6:30 p.m., followed by rock cover band Midnight Special, which has sets at 7:45 and 8:45 p.m. Closing out the weekend on Saturday are local acts Cobwebs at 5:30 p.m. and Charlie Absten and the Distant Thunder at 7 p.m., followed by England’s ZZ Top tribute band Eliminator at 9 p.m. Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.
