Petting Zoo

The 23rd-annual Great American Petting Zoo has remaining stops in Kanawha County at the Sissonville Foodland on Thursday, Town N’ Country in Charleston on Friday and the Kanawha City Foodland on Saturday. Visitors can cuddle, pet and feed animals that include goats, llamas, wallabies and potbellied pigs.

Admission is free with a purchase from the tour stop’s participating grocer. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. daily.

Lewisburg theater

The Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg opens its production of “Man of La Mancha,” a musical retelling of “Don Quixote,” on Friday. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, June 18-21 and 25-28, plus 3 p.m. matinees June 21 and 28. Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for seniors and $20 for children and students.

Then, on Tuesday, it will co-host a free, staged reading of “Tracers” at Carnegie Hall, 105 Church St., Lewisburg. The play, which contains strong language and adult content, is a series of interconnected scenes that examine the effects of the Vietnam War on soldiers who served; it was written and first performed by Vietnam veterans.

‘Mountain Stage’ film

West Virginia Public Broadcasting premieres “Mountain Stage: A 30 Year Celebration” at 9 p.m. Sunday on PBS.

Produced by Pat Sergent, it features performances from 2001 through this year. Acts featured are Lake Street Dive, Joan Baez, Rosanne Cash, Darrell Scott, Martina McBride, Arlo Guthrie, John Pizzarelli, Tommy Emmanuel, the Robert Cray Band, Delbert McClinton and Marcia Ball, Tim O’Brien, Rhonda Vincent, Guy Clark, Ralph Stanley, Travis Tritt and Ricky Skaggs and The Del McCoury Band.

Opera Guild tickets

Tickets for the Charleston Light Opera Guild’s production of “Catch Me If You Can” go on sale Monday. They are $20, available at the Civic Center box office from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday or an hour before showtime. Purchase by phone at 304-343-2287.

Performances are June 20-22 and 27-29.
