Rand Thrift store
The Rand Thrift Store and Free Clothing Room will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Rand Community Center, 5701 Church Drive, Rand. Donations are accepted for the free clothing room or items that can be sold in the thrift store. Drop donations off at the center or call 304-925-9200 for information.
AARP group meeting
Kanawha Valley AARP will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the South Charleston Library. The presentation will be “Hurt Less Without Gluten and Excytotoxins.” Refreshments will be served afterward.
Business After Hours
Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will have its next Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Professional Floor and Wall Covering. Business After Hours provides a social but professional venue for businesspeople to make new contacts and expand their presence in the business community. Participation is open to all Putnam Chamber members and their guests. The cost to attend is $20 per person and reservations and pre-payment are appreciated. Food and refreshments also will be included in a relaxed social setting. Reservation deadline is Tuesday.
