One charged in Charleston stabbing
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Charleston man is in jail after allegedly getting into a fight with another man late Sunday.
Sgt. Tony Hazelett of the Charleston Police Department said Kenneth Lee, 53, of Charleston got into a fight with Thomas Sanders, 49, of Charleston at an apartment in the Washington Manor housing complex at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Hazelett said Lee first got into a fight with his girlfriend, who is Sanders' sister. When Sanders tried to intervene, Lee allegedly stabbed him in the back and head.
Sanders then walked to St. Francis Hospital, which is located nearby. He was treated and released this morning, Hazelett said.
Lee was charged with malicious wounding. He was in the South Central Regional Jail this morning, with bail set at $10,000.
