Fayette County house burns twice in 1 week
MINDEN, W.Va. — Fayette County authorities believe the same person is responsible for two fires at a house in Minden within a week.
The first fire occurred last week, while the second one occurred late Sunday night. The house’s residents weren’t injured.
Fayette County sheriff’s Capt. Jim Sizemore told The Register-Herald that investigators found four points of origin for the first fire. They believe the second fire also was deliberately set.
He said an estimated 11 houses have been burned in the Rock Lick area of Minden over the past year. Most were abandoned.
