Recovery movement film
The public is invited to attend a free screening of the documentary, “The Anonymous People,” at 7 p.m. Sunday at Embassy Suites. The film questions why the U.S. has criminalized and too often given superficial treatment to a chronic illness — addiction. The film is being shown by First Choice Health Systems, which operates the 1-800-GAMBLER helpline for problem gamblers, the I-866-WV-QUITT helpline for those with substance use disorders and the ATARI program, which supports addiction recovery through tehcnology. Refreshments will be served. For information, contact Susie Mullens at 304-614-7177 or Susie@1stchs.com.
