Margaret L. Finney

Margaret Lynn VanCleve Finney of Charleston lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Jenkins VanCleve of Charleston; daughters, Darlene Lowery of South Charleston and Debbie Carroll (Fred) of Hurricane; her grandchildren, Russell Carroll, Norah Carroll and Liam Carroll of Hurricane; brothers, Russell VanCleve (Kathy) of Newport Beach, Calif., and John VanCleve (Mary) of New Albany, Ind.; sister, Barbara Astrino (John) of Stow, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a lifelong member of Charleston Baptist Temple, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and volunteered in many groups over the years. She loved music and played for Kanawha Valley Community Band, Charleston B-Ties and Little Big Band Trio, to name a few.

She loved her family, church family and musician community. Her family is thankful to her special neighbors, friends and Kanawha Hospice team for their support.

Memorial service will be held at Charleston Baptist Temple, 209 Morris St., Charleston, WV 25301, on Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Dr. Dennis Johnson will be officiating.
