O’Reilly, Miller coming to Charleston

By Bill Lynch, Staff writer

Fox News television hosts and commentators Bill O’Reilly and Dennis Miller are coming to the Charleston Municipal Auditorium Friday, Oct. 24 as part of the 2014 edition of the “Bolder and Fresher” tour.

Tickets for the show went on sale June 26, but there had been no official announcement from the show promoters. However, the date is listed on both the Charleston Civic Center’s and O’Reilly’s website.

The Civic Center also confirmed that O’Reilly and Miller were coming.

The pair, who both host nationally syndicated radio programs and appear on Fox News, have done several “Bolder and Fresher” tours, though this is their first appearance together in Charleston.

In a promotional video on O’Reilly’s website, the conservative television host said the tour was “designed to give folks a look at Miller and me apart from television.”

According to reviews of previous shows, the event is a mix of social commentary and comedy, both political and otherwise. In the past, Miller and O’Reilly have each done a portion of the show solo, with the comedian doing more standup material and O’Reilly telling stories and making political observations.

They will also appear together on stage.

Tickets for the event range from $57 up to $107 (plus Ticketmaster fees) with a $502 VIP package that includes autographed merchandise, premium seating and an opportunity to meet Miller and O’Reilly.
