By The Associated Press

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Brooke-Hancock Regional Development Council is being awarded $70,000 from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

Rep. David McKinley said the funds will be used to promote and support private industry, investment and job creation in the region.

McKinley said it’s important to revitalize the economy in places like Weirton and New Cumberland when families continue to struggle.
