I sure am glad West Virginia lawmakers are keeping pot illegal. In Colorado and Washington state, legal pot is around $25 a gram. If you buy illegal West Virginia grass, it is only $50 a quarter-ounce. Keep it illegal.
In your Saturday-Gazette Mail, page 9C, is a headline, “As civilian deaths rise, no end seen to Israeli offensive.” Well, why not this headline: “As civilian deaths rise, no end seen to Hamas rocket attacks”?
To the person who asked what was wrong with all the WVU football fans because the season ticket sales were at an all-time low, I have one thing to say to that: Go, Herd.
I just read Dawn Miller, the Gazette editorial page editor, about an idea just so crazy. That’s a fantastic idea: Bring all those immigrants into West Virginia. Put them up where the National Guard goes to train. That would be a great place to do it. I love that idea. I would vote for her for governor.
Shame on Nicky Joe Rahall for bashing the EPA. Is he too stupid to realize that the EPA is the only thing that is standing between West Virginia being a bleak, arid desert and the beautiful state it is now. We have had enough of Nicky Joe Rahall.
I agree birth control is a personal issue. The problem is these ladies do have a job but their employer wants to make this decision for them.
Obama is not listening. Paranoia is a mental disease. Get help.
Paul Ryan coming to West Virginia to campaign for Capito — the same two that want to get rid of our Medicare and Social Security. Birds of a feather flock together.
Throughout history, people from all over the world came here to find a new life and start a new life. All these children come from Honduras and everywhere else. What is wrong with us? Can’t we go through citizenship like we’ve done throughout our history? What’s wrong? Can’t we understand that they need a new life too?
I wish they would leave Mark Plants alone. They act like he has committed a crime. The only thing he has done is correct a child.
Hasn’t John Copenhaver served as federal district judge long enough?
If you are unhappy working for $2.13 per hour plus tips, the solution is simple. Slip and fall over a hazard that has been mentioned previously and then have headaches, see double, be traumatized and basically scarred for life. This sets you up for workers’ comp, SSI, food stamps, WIC coupons, HUD housing and more.
When are the GOP going to pass a bill that will fix our roads and make the super-rich in control of our tax money pay their fair share? The little man is overwhelmed and our country is going to the dumps. Our schools do not have any money.
The right-wing nuts who want to do away with the federal government need to think it through. Without the federal government we would be 50 little banana republics, with our own armies, different style governments, civil rights, etc. Since West Virginia is a small, relatively poor state, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia or Maryland could, with their bigger armies since they can afford it, invade and annex us. Hell, maybe that’s the solution to the problems that plague this state; we can just be a colony and a drag on their resources. It’s already apparent we’re too stupid to govern ourselves.
Well, at least Israel’s recent bombing of a home for the disabled in Gaza will reduce the number of disabled terrorists running around.
Might rethink your blaming of GOP for stalemate in Congress. Their loyal support of Obama’s policies has cost the Democrats several seats in last election. Now they’re doing nothing, trying to keep low profile before next election.
Same ol’, same ol’ with Rep. Capito and the dirty coal bunch. Speaking up loudly against EPA’s right to keep your water clean but doing everything to allow coal to keep polluting and endangering your families’ water supply.
Viagra is covered. Vasectomies are covered. Vacuum pumps for erectile dysfunction? Totally, 100 percent covered. But birth control? Sorry, ladies. Five men on the Supreme Court say you’re out of luck.
The facts are in concerning the Affordable Care Act, called “Obamacare” by conservatives in one of their greatest mistakes, ensuring Obama’s name in perpetuity. Overall, 73 percent of people who bought health plans and 87 percent of those who signed up for Medicaid said they were somewhat or very satisfied with their new health insurance. Even 74 percent of newly insured Republicans liked their plans. Also, 77 percent of people who had insurance before — including members of the much-publicized group whose plans got canceled last year — were happy with their new coverage.
