Country rapper Colt Ford closes out the Putnam County Fair in Eleanor with a concert at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. A former pro golfer, Ford has released five albums, including “Thanks for Listening,” which just came out July 1; he also co-wrote “Dirt Road Anthem” with Brantley Gilbert, which became a monster hit for Jason Aldean in 2011. Besides his concert, remaining fair activities include chainsaw carving demonstrations, H&H Rodeo bull riding, a kids pedal power tractor pull, motorcycle motocross, aerial high wire shows and music by West Virginia country acts Charlie Absten & Distant Thunder and Barbara Lynn & the Silver Eagle Band. Gates open at 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Admission, which includes all carnival rides and concerts, is $8 for ages 5 and up and free for children younger than that.
