Martinsburg to celebrate electric vehicle station
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Martinsburg has installed a free public electric car charging station in a downtown parking lot.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the solar-powered station is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday.
Mountain View Solar installed the equipment and will service it.
Colin Williams with Mountain View Solar tells The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown, Maryland, that the charging station will enhance Martinsburg’s historic business district.
Williams and Main Street Martinsburg executive director Randy Lewis say the charging station is the second installed on public property in West Virginia. The other station is located at a farmer’s market in Morgantown.
