Justice to be inducted into First Tee Coal Miners’ Hall of Fame Area roundup:
The Greenbrier Resort’s owner and chairman Jim Justice will be inducted into the First Tee Coal Miners’ Hall of Fame Friday at the third annual First Tee of West Virginia Coal Miners’ Classic tournament at the White Oak Country Club in Oak Hill.
The tournament is a four-person, handicapped scramble format with three tee times: 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The final nine holes of the 6 p.m. tee time will be played in the dark after dinner. WVU SPORTS: Three members of the women’s soccer team open competition of the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada today when the Canadian Women’s national team meets Ghana at 8 p.m. at the National Soccer Stadium in Toronto.
Sophomores Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawrence and redshirt freshman Amandine Pierre-Louis will represent the Mountaineers at the tournament which started Monday and runs through Aug. 24.
