Public meeting scheduled for Melissa-Huntington Road Project in Cabell County

The West Virginia Division of Highways will hold an informational workshop public meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the gym concourse area at Huntington High School, One Highlander Way, Huntington, on the proposed Melissa-Huntington road project. The project consists of improvements along W.Va. 10, beginning near the eastbound ramp of Interstate 64, Exit 11, and near Cedar Crest Drive (County Route 44). New intersections will be constructed at High School Road, Woodville Drive (County Route 46), Mount Union Road (County Route 39), James Kilowatt Road (County Route 10/15), and Green Valley Road (County Route 35 South). The intersections at Norwood Road (County Route 35 North) and Orchard Road will be reconfigured to utilize a portion of existing W.Va. 10 as a local access street. The approved Environmental Assessment will be available for review.

No formal presentation will be made. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions and give written comments on the project throughout the meeting. A handout with project details will be available at the meeting and on the WVDOH Website.
