Detroit man sentenced in W.Va. for drug possession
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – A Detroit man has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for possession with intent to distribute oxymorphone pills.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia says Gregory Lindsey was sentenced in federal court in Huntington on Monday.
Lindsey previously pleaded guilty to possessing more than 50 oxymorphone pills that he planned to distribute at a home in Nitro, outside of Charleston.
At the time of his arrest, Lindsey was in the home with the pills and a semi-automatic pistol
The case is part of an ongoing effort by federal prosecutors in West Virginia to combat the sale of prescription pills.
