Police are looking for Lannie Shaffer, 23, in connection to burglaries in the South Hills area of Charleston.
Melinda Green, 46, turned herself in to Charleston police Wednesday afternoon. She is charged with burglarizing two residences in South Hills.
Louise Gail Lanham, 43, is wanted in connection to burglaries in the South Hills area of Charleston.

Police arrested a Charleston woman and issued warrants for the arrest of two other people in connection to recent burglaries in the South Hills area on Wednesday.

Melinda Green, 46, allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of items from two residences located on Holly Road and Oakmont Drive, according to Charleston Police Chief of Detectives Lt. Steve Cooper.

Police also obtained warrants for Charleston residents Louise Gail Lanham, 43, and Lannie Shaffer, 23.

Several burglaries have occurred in South Hills since mid-July.

“There’s a good chance other burglaries will be solved based on the investigation as it stands now,” Cooper said. “It’s really beginning to ramp up.”

Green turned herself in on Wednesday afternoon.

Cooper said he anticipates police will find Lanham and Shaffer soon.

“They have to come out,” he said. “They’re going to be looking for something to steal.” He asked any residents with information on the whereabouts of the pair to call 911 or contact the Charleston Police Department.

Cooper said the burglary ring is likely affecting homes in other areas of Kanawha County.

“That’s what they do for a living,” he said. “They do burglaries. We suspect and have information that leads us to believe they’ve been involved in other burglaries and other agencies are also going to be notified of potential cases that could affect their jurisdictions.”
