Feaster M. Vickers

Feaster M. Vickers, 93, of Whitesville, passed away Aug. 5, 2014, at a nursing home in Gallipolis, Ohio.

He was born Oct. 28, 1920, in Boone County. He was the son of the late Cesco Omer Vickers and Ollie Oney Vickers. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Emmer Vickers, who raised him after his mother, Ollie, passed away; his wife, Mary Vickers; son, Timothy Keith Vickers; three brothers, Clarence Vickers, James Leon Vickers and Cesco Omer Vickers Jr.; and sisters, Jarldean Vickers Bourff, Eloise Vickers, Barker Lainer, Anna Bell Vickers Nolan, Zona Vickers and Mildred Vickers Thomas.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Dollie Estep; step-grandson, Robert Estep; sister, Orpha L. Vickers Browning; nieces, Anna Mae Reed, Betty "Judy" Howard, Brenda Workman, Heddy Scagg, Marlene Vickers Williams, Yvonne Dotson and Linda Vickers; and nephews, Buddy Lee Bonsall, Michael Vickers, Dwight Williams, Victor Vickers and Lawrence Vickers.

Feaster worked at United Fuel & Gas (now Columbia Gas) for 42 years.

A funeral service was held Aug. 8 at Handley Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Silva officiating.
