Husband of shooting victim found dead in apparent suicide
LETART, W.Va. — The husband of a woman shot to death in Mason County was found dead himself, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, on Friday.
Police had been looking for Charles Anderson, 57, as a possible suspect in the shooting of his wife, Kathy Anderson, 54.
Charles Anderson was found in a wooded area near Sandy Hollow Road in Roane County after witnesses told police about a vehicle along the roadside, State Police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous said.
Police found Kathy Anderson dead in a home on Backwaters Drive in Letart on Wednesday after relatives asked them to check on the wellbeing of a family member.
