Business after hours
Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will have its next Business After Hours from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Yeager Design and Interiors. Attendance costs $20 per person and is open to all chamber members and their guests. A cash drawing will be held and you must be present to win. Refreshments will be served. The Value Chain Cluster Initiative (VC2) will hold a hands-on production planning workshop for local farmers and vegetable producers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 25 at The Spring, 204 N. Kids’ fun run
The city of Charleston and Tallman Track Club will host the Charleston Distance Run Children’s Fun Run at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 on Clendenin Street in front of the Charleston Town Center Mall. Children ages 4 to 12 can participate at no charge. Pre-register at firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration will also be available on the day of the Children’s Fun Run from 4 to 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Charleston Civic Center. Three races are offered with separate runs for age groups 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12. Kids in age group 4-6 run about a quarter of a mile, while kids in age groups 7-9 and 10-12 run about a half-mile.
