Manchin plans tour to discuss state economy
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin will discuss the future of West Virginia’s economy during a six-county tour.
Manchin’s office says the tour includes stops in Barbour, Greenbrier, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Tucker and Upshur counties.
Manchin will kick off the tour today with an informal town hall discussion in Buckhannon. He also plans to visit Philippi and meet with students at Tucker County High School.
On Tuesday, Manchin will visit Pendleton County High School in Franklin, the Sugar Grove Naval Base in Sugar Grove and the National Radio Astronomy Observatory Science Center in Green Bank.
The tour wraps up Wednesday at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs. Manchin will deliver remarks during the 2014 West Virginia Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Summit.
