Capito keeps fundraising lead over Barth
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito raised about $90,000 more than her Democratic challenger from April through June, and maintained her big financial advantage in the race.
Still, some national political observers think the race will be closer than they first expected.
Federal Election Commission reports filed by both candidates for the second quarter of this year showed Capito, a four-term Republican incumbent, raised $388,649, while Democrat Anne Barth collected $295,823.

Ms. Barth is the best woman for the job. She is experienced, connected, and intelligent. Without a doubt, our country AND our state needs a change. Ms. Barth will bring that positive change. The fact that she's also pretty should not influence you.

Just remember, the powers that be are interested in maintaining the status quo. All the more reason to vote for the opponent. Capito followed Bush's lead all these years, if McSame wins, she'll continue to do the same.
