CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two Charleston men were indicted on attempted murder charges as part of a list of indictments handed up Friday by a Kanawha County grand jury this week.
Jamel Khalid Mitchell, 18, was indicted on charges of malicious wounding, first-degree robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle and attempted murder. Mitchell allegedly shot Aaron Williams, 29, in the face in January. Williams was shot multiple times with a small-caliber pistol in the 1000 block of Stadium Place on the East End.
Jonathan Lee Parker, 25, was indicted on charges of malicious wounding, attempted murder, first-degree robbery, breaking and entering, third-offense shoplifting and possession of a stolen vehicle. Parker is accused of stabbing and beating Eugene Lewis Mills on Charleston's East End in April.
