CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- After he suffered a heart attack while in his 30s, David was diagnosed with other health problems that ultimately disabled him. Now that he is unable to work, he and his wife Paula struggle to pay the bills with his disability checks.
The couple is also raising David's high-school-aged daughter, Sabrina, and Paula's pre-school aged-granddaughter, whom they took in because neither of the girl's parents was able to care for her. Union Mission in Charleston is helping the family.
